Fix for the BOB Revolution stroller slouching problem

We just got a BOB Revolution stroller off craigslist and it's a great stroller - lightweight and very agile. We read reviews on this stroller prior to getting it so we knew that along with its strenghts, there is a slouching problem when babies are sat in the upright position in this stroller.

We have a 6-month old son and when he sits in the BOB, sure enough, he slouches. The problem is that the seat back is made of a pretty soft material. The red strap that is supposed to support the mid back is up near his shoulders. Hence, his back sags into the seat causing the slouch.

The fix is to place another strap around the lower back of the seat to provide a lumbar support. See the first photo. I added the black strap that goes below the red strap. You can buy any luggage strap that's long enough.

The tricky part is to loop the strap to the chassis in such a way that it doesn't impede the collapse mechanism of the stroller. See the 2nd photo. Notice how the straps loop outside the hydraulic arm and onto the chassis.

Try it out and let me know how if you find this fix helpful.

Cool... Would love to hear how it works. Just a heads up when you shop for a luggage strap. The buckle strength is also important. I've seen luggage straps at my local dollar store and the buckles aren't nearly strong enough to be practical.

Wow, thanks so much for posting this!

I never even knew the red strap could be used for back support! I thought that was just to hold the infant seat in place. I always hated how my son slouched in this stroller. I am so happy to have an awesome solution to the problem. I never like the idea of a pillow or blanket behind him.

We didn't even know the red strap could be connected back there for back support....so that helped! Might try the additional strap if still not good enough. Thanks!

Thank you so much.. the back support of the bob has been driving me nuts. We just tried my husbands belt using your idea and its worked a dream. Thanks again!

You know that red strap is not suppose to be used to hold the seat back. It is used to secure your car seat to the stroller by strapping it across like a seat belt harness. So while the red belt might be handy in this instance, I hope anyone that does this remembers when they have the car seat on the stroller to use the red strap to secure it.

FYI, that red strap is actually for securing your car seat to the stroller, and not for back support. :)

perfect! thank you! i probably never would have realised that that's what the red strap is for. my five month old is huge, so that's enough of a fix for us. yay!

I tried it and it works great! Luggage strap was $8 on Amazon. Took me about 3 minutes to adjust correctly. Highly recommended
